The Guardian Project is a global movement of schools, organizations, and individuals committed to preparing young people for a greater purpose: protecting what matters, solving meaningful problems, and helping create a healthier, more just, and sustainable future.
WHY THE GUARDIAN PROJECT
Protecting Their Future Means Transforming Ours
The Guardian Project began with three very special people: my grandchildren. Thinking about the world they will inherit created an urgent desire to do something positive, purposeful, and lasting.
Being a good ancestor means caring deeply, standing up for what matters, and helping shape a future in which coming generations can live, grow, and dream.
The Guardian Project is built on a simple conviction: joining is less about what you receive and more about what you choose to give. Like Rotary International’s commitment to “Service Above Self,” participation is not a transaction measured in points, badges, recognition, or benefits. It is a declaration that you care deeply about our youngest humans and the undetermined future they will inherit. It means choosing to become an engaged changemaker and accepting responsibility for helping create a healthier environment, society, and economy for generations to come.
Every school, organization, and individual who joins strengthens the movement. Gathering, contributing, collaborating, and inviting others to participate are acts of service and gifts to the future. Joining The Guardian Project is not spending. It is an investment. The most important question is not, “What will we get?” but “What might become possible because we chose to give?”
