  • 2018-2020: Head of School, Maui Preparatory Academy, Lahaina, Hawai`i.

  • 2017: Education Consultant – Two Roads Education L.L.C.

  • 2015 – 2017: Executive Director, Hawaii Association of Independent Schools.

  • 2013-2015: Deputy Superintendent, Singapore American School, Facilitated school’s new teacher evaluation process, part of significant change to a 21st-century school through research & development.

  • 2013-present: Founder and Board Chair, Cambodia’s Future Foundation

  • 2011-2013: Director, Liger Learning Centers. Offering a full scholarship to highly able Cambodian students using an original, progressive 21st-century curriculum.

  • 2008-2011: Director, Western Academy of Beijing, 1540 students. New mission statement process completed and school-wide strategic plan, facilities planning, reversed deficit budget.

  • 1999-2008 - Director, International School of Prague, Czech Republic. Chief administrator for a co-educational day school for 830 students aged 3-18. Responsibilities include curriculum, assessment, appraisal, finance, building projects, development, marketing, and community relations. Founded “Fund for Education,” which gives grants to Czech schools and educational organizations.

  • 1998-1999 - Founding Director, International School of Monterey, USA Founding Director, and still a member of the Advisory Board, of the United States' first charter school offering an international curriculum.

  • 1997-1998 - Director, Cilegon International School, Indonesia. Chief Administrator for a small international school 3 hours from Jakarta. Introduced an international curriculum, evaluated staff, wrote all handbooks, and increased parent involvement.

  • 1988-1997 - Director, International School of Lausanne, Switzerland Chief Administrator for a co-educational day school for students aged 3-16. ISL was a British National Curriculum program leading to IGCSE. Responsibilities included curriculum development, assessment, appraisal, finance, building projects, development, marketing, and community relations.

  • 1985-1988 - Elementary School Principal, College du Leman, Switzerland. Principal of the 350-student elementary school. I was responsible for both the Anglo-American and French Sections. The curriculum was American.

  • 1980-1985 - 5th-grade Teacher, College du Leman, Switzerland.

  • 1977-1980 - 6-8th grade Teacher (all subjects), John F. Kennedy International School, Saanen, Switzerland.

  • 1975-1977 - Camp Director, Marketing Director, Village Camps, Switzerland.
